COVID-19 IN INDONESIA

JAKARTA – The Indonesian Government through the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 recorded an increase in the number of cases cured per Sunday (26/4) to 1,107 after there were an increase of 65 people. While the case died to 743 after there were additions of 23 people. Government Press Secretary for Handling COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto asserted that COVID-19 can only be prevented by a strong discipline and a spirit of mutual cooperation carried out by all elements of the nation continuously without interruption. Yurianto invited all people to fight COVID-19 by increasing their immunity, staying patient and calm, not panicking, getting enough and regular rest, keeping a distance, using masks, and washing their hands with soap and running water. Some regions in Indonesia have implemented a Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) policy that must be obeyed by every citizen. PSSB is a limitation of certain activities in an area suspected of being infected with COVID-19. The purpose of the PSBB is to stop the spread of the virus so that it is not getting more and more widespread due to local transmission which is still happening today.
